Lentil Soup

¼ cups red lentils
9
cups water
½
cup short grain brown rice, uncooked

carrots, chopped
2
large stalks celery, chopped
1
large yellow onion, chopped

cloves garlic, minced
1
tsp dried ground fennel
Salt
to taste
Throw
everything except the salt in a big soup pot. Bring to a boil, lower
heat and simmer for about 40 minutes or until the lentils and rice
are tender. Add salt to taste. This is a very yummy soup!
